The American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS) has had some rather turbulent times over the past couple of years. I know personally that the AVLS Board and new management team is working diligently to correct the problems and concerns to move into a stronger and brighter future.

Having been a Member myself for the past seventeen years and having served on the Foundation board for a number of those, I have seen first hand the commitment to Advocacy, Research and Education. While some other Societies are out there, the AVLS has always been committed to helping those interested in providing great venous care services regardless of board certification or academic affiliation.

To help ensure its renewed success, please consider joining or renewing your Membership. You may also want to consider going to the Annual Congress this year. It will be in Washington, D.C. October 9 – 11.  The registration portal should be up and running in the next week to ten days. I look forward to seeing many of our readers there.
