About American Physician
American Physician was founded in 2007 in response to a perceived need for a billing service that specialized in phlebology billing. Thankfully, that perceived need turned out to be a real need.
Over the past years we have grown from assisting three practices to over thirty-five practices. Our team of four people is currently a team of 29 folks. Many of them have been with us for well over a decade.
Because of our specialization in peripheral vascular disease, we provide consulting services to not only our clients but to the industry and providers in the venous and arterial field as well. We are well versed in assisting start-up practices, currently active practices, and those going through a change or audit. We also provide customer (billing and coding) support to two large device manufacturers.
AJ Riviezzo / CEO
AJ Riviezzo, the CEO of American Physician, comes with a broad career history in medical administration starting with the United States Air Force. From there he has worked on both the hospital/physician side as a Group Practice Administrator and Director of Contracting Services as well as on the insurance side as a Director of Contracting for a couple different HMO’s.
He has also been involved with three different healthcare affiliated company start-ups. AJ received his BA in Business from Columbia College in 1993 and his MBA from Webster University in 1993.
