Quick Patient Satisfaction Idea

What You See… You Believe
by AJ Riviezzo
Word of mouth advertising is worth its weight in gold. We all know this. So how do we help to ensure a satisfied patient?

One recommendation that has worked in some practices is a quick dab of cosmetic sclerotherapy. When treating the patient’s GSV or SSV, consider doing a small of cosmetic sclero to that same leg. If GSV, I would treat the top of the thigh. If SSV then something on the inside of the ankle (assuming they have some spider veins in these areas).

Why there? When you are sitting down, and you look down, chances are you see the top of your thigh near the knee followed quickly by the inside of your leg near the ankle. Having something visual that has changed can increase the patient’s satisfaction with the treatment. It is true that the cosmetic services have absolutely nothing to do with how well the ablation went and the end results the patient can expect. But… the patient has something visual, something tangible that has changed. How exciting for them! And how nice for your word of mouth advertising.
